About Love It Local
Which areas do your magazines cover?
Love It Local has separate editions for Poole and Purbeck. You can advertise in either edition or both.
How often is the magazine published?
Both editions are published quarterly, with new issues appearing in March, June, September and December.
How many copies are distributed?
We distribute 10,000 free copies of each edition to homes and selected collection points throughout its local area.
What kind of content appears in the magazine?
Each issue includes local stories, interviews, history, events, community news and features alongside advertising from local businesses and organisations.
Booking Your Advert
How do I submit an advert request?
Create an advertiser account and follow the step-by-step booking form. You’ll choose your advert size, number of issues and magazine edition before sending us your artwork or design instructions.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes. Your account allows us to save your contact details and lets you view your previous advert requests.
Can I advertise in both magazines?
Yes. Select both the Poole and Purbeck editions when completing the booking form.
Can I book more than one issue?
Yes. You can book between one and four issues in advance.
Are discounts available?
Yes. You’ll save 10% when booking four issues in advance and 20% when placing your advert in both magazines. Your price is calculated automatically as you make your selections.
What advert sizes are available?
You can choose from:
- Eighth page
- Quarter page
- Half page
- Full page
- Double-page spread
Is online advertising included?
Yes. Advertisers also receive additional online promotion on our websites for the period covered by their booking.
Artwork and Design
Can I supply my own finished advert?
Yes. You can upload your finished artwork directly or provide a download link using a service such as WeTransfer, Google Drive or Dropbox.
Please check our artwork specifications before sending your advert.
What if I don’t have a finished advert?
We offer a free advert design service. Send us information about your business, the wording and contact details you want included, along with any suitable photographs and your logo.
Will I see the advert before it is printed?
Yes. When we design your advert, we’ll always send you a proof before it goes to print.
If we need to make changes to an advert you supplied, we’ll send you a proof of the amended version too.
What should I provide for the free design service?
Please send:
- Your business name
- The contact details to appear in the advert
- Information about your products or services
- Any particular wording or offers
- Your website and social-media addresses
- Good-quality photographs
- Your logo
The more useful information you provide, the better we can represent your business.
Can I change my advert after submitting it?
Yes. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your wording, images or contact details. Changes requested close to the print deadline may not always be possible.
Deadlines and Publication
When are the advertising deadlines?
Our usual copy deadlines are:
- 1 February for the March issue
- 1 May for the June issue
- 1 August for the September issue
- 1 November for the December issue
We recommend submitting your advert early, particularly if you would like us to design it.
Is my position in the magazine guaranteed?
Advert placement is determined as part of the magazine’s layout. We’ll always consider positioning requests, but a particular page or position is only guaranteed where it has been specifically agreed.
Prices and Payment
When do I pay?
No payment is taken through the website. After receiving your request, we’ll send you an invoice separately.
Does submitting the form immediately confirm my space?
Submitting the form sends us your advertising request. Your space is confirmed in accordance with the Magazine Advertiser Contract and the payment terms shown on your invoice.
