New landlords at the Kings Arms welcome you to their traditional pub!
‘My family and I have lived locally for the past 20 odd years and have always loved The Kings Arms. It is such an attractive building, full of character with a beautiful garden. It was actually where we had our first date almost 8 years ago, served by the fabulous Scott Fox !!
We have operated a mobile business for several years, which has been a lot of fun, but being at different venues all the time means that you don’t get a chance to get to know anyone. We decided it was time to try and find something permanent, that we could both work at daily that would also suit the entire family. So of course, when the Kings Arms became available, we jumped at the chance. Not only is it a pub that we all love, but it is in our own home town.
We want to keep the traditional “local pub” feel that it has and offer good old fashioned pub grub. Reasonably priced, simple menu with a bit of everything anyone can enjoy. We have chosen a new selection of wines and are planning to have some great guest ales coming soon.
In the near future we will be opening in the morning for breakfasts, coffee and of course cake.
Sunday roasts will also be starting very soon and hope you will give us a try.
We believe that a “local” is at the heart of the community. Not just somewhere to eat and drink.
We are planning to have some great events in the future and are already in talks with several people to help these be a huge success. We also want to make ourselves available to any clubs, groups etc who are looking for a regular venue.
We have all been very touched and are so appreciative by the warm welcome and support we have received from both familiar faces, and new, and looking forward to getting to know all of you. We are open all day, everyday, so please do pop in and say hello.’
